Look for resources

There are lots of resources out there, and some of them are free — make it your job to look and find some!

  • Sign yourself up to newsletters — your local borough will have one, your favourite magazine will have one, your favourite recipe website will have one! Sign up to it!

  • When you know what’s happening out there, you create opportunities for yourself to get out, learn, connect, and experience things differently. Discover that free exhibition or free local library event! Subscribe to the Kingston First newsletter!

  • Look into volunteering for a charity or a cause you admire. You have strengths: showcase them and use them in a meaningful way. Volunteering is also a good socialising opportunity.

  • Have a look on local noticeboards — is there anything of interest on there?

  • Try searching for online resources — have a look on the Mental Health UK website. There are so many resources that it might seem overwhelming at first, but take your time and look through them. Print some off if it helps you!
