Everyone gets them, they are part of life! Try to learn from them instead of dwelling on them.

We do tend to sabotage ourselves and create fake scenarios in our heads. In reality, things are not as bad. Reflect on a recent experience: was it as bad as you thought it would be in the end?

Read the book “Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway” for a few suggestions and theories. Or just say out loud how you feel: “This is really awkward for me…”

When I find myself in an awkward situation, I tend to say “There’s always one!” and laugh at it. How many times have we found ourselves telling people amusing stories about past awkward experiences? We have a giggle and say: “We laugh now, but it wasn’t funny then!” Remember, one day in the future you will have a chance to laugh at the awkwardness you are experiencing now.
