Acceptance

Accept your strengths and weaknesses, and accept that there are things we cannot change.

  • Avoid aiming for perfection: nobody is perfect, nobody is good at everything, and nobody is happy all the time.

  • The saying goes: “Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it is about learning to dance in the rain”. How we think determines how we feel and act.

  • If we know that something is outside of our control, we have to learn how to let it go and move on. If there is something we can do about a situation, we have to think of what that is and take action.

  • Focus on your strengths: celebrate them and put them into practice, and try and work on your weaknesses if you can. Practice makes perfect. What have you got to lose?
