Exercise

Our bodies are designed to move — try to move at least 30 minutes a day!

  • Exercise can help improve mental health more than medication.
  • Exercise helps improve sleep, and can help you make healthier nutrition choices.
  • Keep an eye out on your local library’s website for free or discounted exercise classes — Hook Centre often offers free evening yoga classes.
  • Some church halls are used for ballroom dancing lessons, with the first lesson offered for free. What a great way to get some exercise!
  • Gardening is another enjoyable form of exercise, and so is walking to the shop for groceries or the newspaper.
  • 30 minutes each day will slowly make a difference to your mind and body.
